As a student Nurse and someone who has undergone medical procedures needing me to go under anaesthesia before , i was not a worried patient. I had an understanding of the process, i knew what it was like from prior experiences, i didn't really have any worries. But of course there was a tiny bit of anxiety there , but Dr Marshall spoke in such a calm and reassuring way in which it solidified my belief that i was going to be okay . If i had been more anxious , not understood the process and needed some reassurance then I'm 100% certain he would've been exceptional at providing that . I felt very safe under his care.

Good morning Chris, I was very pleased to get your letter so I could thank you personally. Even though all staff introduced themselves I could not remember any names afterwards! I would loved to have thanked each individual person for their excellent care. The care, kindness and attention you gave me was first class, you gave me such confidence that you would do the very best you could to look after me. You treated me as an individual, you made me feel there was no rush and that you would stay with me as long as was necessary to answer my questions and make me feel at ease. In the operating theatre you were there again to reassure and keep me calm. With all the news of staff shortages within the NHS, it is beyond me how you and all the staff manage to give such a wonderful service. Thank you and all the staff from the bottom of my heart.

Both in his initial bedside visit and also when he was administering the anaesthetic, Chris set my mind completely at ease. I knew absolutely that I was in good hands.

He was great I felt at easy with him and I could understand what he was asking and saying, I couldn't have asked for a better doctor I wish I could have him every time I have to go to hospital he was excellent
